It comes ahead of Channel 5 bringing back her noughties chat show later this month.

While Vanessa has been a staple of the sofa for three decades, in the last number of years she has been a regular feature for “This Morning’s View” where the day’s headlines are discussed with the show’s hosts.

In a statement to the Daily Star, Vanessa said: “I’ve been on This Morning since 1992. It’s been a long time.

“But I’m now doing my own show and I can’t do both.”

Vanessa praised the presenters and crew on This Morning for being “so lovely” about her decision.”

The 63-year-old continued: “When I told everyone I wouldn’t be able to do the show anymore, they were lovely about it.

“I heard from Alison Hammond and Holly Willoughby immediately and the bosses were charming. I’ll miss working with them all.”

Reflecting on her time on This Morning, Vanessa gushed: “I have learned lots of stuff on This Morning.

“When I first did it, I had never been on TV before. I didn’t know what was going on.

“I was bamboozled but they gave me a contract.”

It will air Monday to Friday with Vanessa opening the phone lines to the public to get in touch.

Vanessa’s original programme aired on ITV from 1994 until concluding in 1998.
