When Fox News foreign correspondent Benjamin Hall accepted an assignment in Ukraine during the early days of the Russian invasion, he understood the risks. But he had no idea how close he would come to losing everything.

In March 2022, while reporting near Kyiv, Hall’s vehicle was struck by a missile. Two of his colleagues were KL instantly. Hall was severely wounded: he l0st a l3g, parts of one hand, partial vision, and suffered numerous internal injuries.

“I remember thinking I was already d3ad,” he recalled in his memoir Saved: A Wr Reporter’s Mission to Make It Home.

Miraculously, Hall survived. Thanks to quick action by Ukrainian responders and Fox News, he was evacuated and underwent emergency surgeries. His recovery spanned more than a year and involved over 30 operations.

Today, Benjamin Hall is more than just a journalist — he’s a symbol of survival. Returning to the studio with a prosthetic l3g and a calmer outlook on life, he now inspires others with his resilience.

“I lost so much. But I learned to cherish life — every single second of it.”
