Jalen Hurts had a bad scare during Sunday’s playoff showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams, and there will be nerves where his fitness is concerned heading into the weekend’s championship round.

The Eagles are through to the NFC Championship Game after a close win over Los Angeles. While Hurts had a decent game, Philly had to rely on their defense to close things out as the Rams threatened to march down the field for a winning touchdown after clawing their way back into the contest late in the fourth quarter.

There were fears that Hurts could have missed the remainder of the fixture after he appeared to suffer a knee injury on a sack in the second quarter, but he was available for every snap thereafter despite heading into the medical tent after getting tangled up.

“Tough game. A challenging game. I was able to finish the game, and we will see how the week goes,” he said on the injury while speaking to reporters after the game.

Hurts was also very cheerful during a postgame sideline interview. He was all smiles while talking about playing in the snow.

Jalen Hurts Became “Jalen Percs” On Sunday Night

The exchange with the reporter had fans suggesting the quarterback had become “Jalen Percs” in the manner Aaron Rodgers became “Perc Rodgers” while with the Green Bay Packers, given that he was unnaturally chatty.


“Jalen Percs has so much aura it’s not even funny,” said another.


“Mans never talked this much. I’m YELLING,” claimed a third.


It’s entirely possible that Hurts took painkillers to continue playing. It’s not uncommon, and Rodgers even admitted to playing on Percocet when he was in Green Bay.

Meanwhile, Hurts is expected to play against the Washington Commanders next weekend, though he is likely to be limited in training this week, according to Ian Rapoport.
