OUTRAGE: Ed Balls ‘DELIBERATELY IGNORES’ wife on Good Morning Britain when challenged – UK viewers VOW to Switch Off and Demand Presenter shake-up, including Kate Garraway!

Good Morning Britain presenter Ed Balls sparked backlash as he and Kate Garraway interviewed Foreign Secretary David Lammy about sm::ggling gngs.

The first wave of sanctions on sm::ggling gngs will be imposed on Wednesday, with Lammy announcing that the Sanctions Act will allow the UK to freeze the assets of anyone involved in sm::ggling illegal migrants, and to ban smugglers from travelling to the UK.

But Ed stayed very quiet when Lammy was asked why it wasn’t the Home Office who was dealing with the gngs. Kate asked Lammy: “We know about the compaign to smash the gngs, why is the Foreign Office doing this and who will it be targeting specifically and what are the number of individuals who will be named and dealt with with this?” as Ed stayed quiet on the topic of the Home Office.

David Lammy replied: “Well you’re right, this is usually the Home Office who deals with issues to do with immigration, but actually the Foreign Office does have a lot to do with immigration, it is often them who do work with foreign countries to help them stay in these countries and not migrate in the first place.

“It is the foreign office who organise returning people to the countries that they’re from if they have no right to be here, and the foreign office has a big sanctions regime, we’ve used it very well to bear down on Putin, and to encourage Europe to work in tandem with us.”

During the interview, viewers rushed to social media to share their frustration over the “conflict of interest” of having Balls host the interview, as his wife is Home Secretary. One viewer posted: “Total embarrassment listening to #GMB this morning nearly every story mentioned by the panel is the actual responsibility of the home secretary…who just happens to be ‘Mrs Ed Balls’, the pointlessness of this ‘chat’ is truly appalling.”

Another added: “Having Ed Balls present is such a conflict of interest. How on earth can he show any impartiality when he’s married to the Home Secretary?”

A third raged: “Haven’t watched for weeks now and have GB NEWS on instead. Maguire gets on me nerves and Kates hair is such a mess and she talks over people. Don’t get me started on Reid and Ed Balls.”

A fourth chimed in: “Smug Ed Balls, whose wife is chief of command for protecting the public in this country, should pipe down.”
