NOTHING MORE SH0CKING – A CHEΛTING scandal ROCKS Emmerdale?

In tonight’s episode of Emmerdale, Victoria Sugden (played by Isabel Hodgins) was left in complete shock to learn that Jacob Gallagher (Joe Warran Plant) and his longtime friend Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) had gotten engaged. After overhearing the news in the Woolpack, Victoria told the couple: “It’s great news, I suppose.” A perplexed Sarah replied: “You suppose?”

Victoria responded: “Yeah, it’s just it’s not been that long since you were going out with someone else.” However, Jacob swiped: “Well, people move on when they find the right person,” to which Victoria said: “Yes, and that is me, shutting my fab gob.” The young lovers, who have been through a lot, as Sarah had to have an emergency hysterectomy after being diagnosed with cancer, both told Victoria they were “very happy,” and they received their drinks on the house.

Emmerdale fans will recall Victoria’s secret romance with toyboy Jacob last year, which became extremely messy when his stepfather, David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden), learned about their relationship, as he used to be engaged to Victoria.

The heartbroken character ended up leaving the village for good, and Victoria eventually split up with Jacob.

Later in the episode, Jacob and Victoria appeared to put their past behind them and enjoy a beverage with Sarah and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley).

Even Jacob’s granddad, Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell), seemed to be on board with the engagement. He congratulated the pair in the pub after chastising them earlier in the episode, as he initially strongly disapproved of the news.

Has he really changed his mind and wants to support the pair? Is Victoria definitely over Jacob and not at all jealous? Could Jacob end up ch3ating on Sarah with Victoria if there’s still a spark between the former flames?

Fans have taken to social media with their theories, with one person writing on X: “Lord almighty! If Pollard was upset about the baby plans, this proposal will finish him off.”

Another sarcastically remarked: “Jacob marrying into the Dingles – Pollard will love this…”

A third penned: “Sarah is coming to demand Eric to fall over backwards to please her, that’s it use his d3ad wife to guilt trip him.#Emmerdale.”

Another noted how there may still be a spark between Jacob and Victoria, and said: “Jacob was mad about Victoria a few weeks back Sarah #emmerdale.”
