Clarkson’s Farm favourite Harriet Cowan has broken her silence on whether fans can expect to see her back at Diddly Squat, after winning over viewers during season four of the hit Amazon Prime series. The 24-year-old nurse-turned-farmhand joined the show while Kaleb Cooper temporarily left the Oxfordshire farm for a nationwide stage tour, stepping in to help Jeremy Clarkson keep things running — and instantly became a hit with fans.

Cowan proved herself as a crucial member of the team, not only keeping up with the daily demands of the farm, but also lending the Grand Tour star a few beauty tips along the way. So when she suddenly packed her bags and returned to her family farm in Derbyshire as soon as Cooper came back, fans were left gutted by her departure. Although she made a brief cameo at a cattle auction later in the series, it wasn’t enough to satisfy those who had grown fond of the down-to-earth newcomer.

Since the fourth season aired, both Cowan and Clarkson have played down the idea of a full return, despite fans continuing to call for her comeback.

Filming for season five is now underway — albeit with its fair share of disruptions — and questions remain over whether Cowan will be back on screen.

But in a new interview this weekend, Cowan finally addressed the speculation, and made clear she’s not shutting the door on Diddly Squat just yet.

Speaking to the Sunday Times’s Style Magazine, she said: “I’ve always said I’ll be very open if Jeremy needs me again.”

“We’ve sort of left it like that. If he needs me, I’m here.” Her comments come as Clarkson revealed the current harvest has already hit trouble — something that could potentially see him calling on extra help.

Appearing at the Hawkstone VIP Summer Party last week, Clarkson told GB News: “We began the harvest over at Diddly Squat this very morning, and set off about 8:30am, Kaleb (for) the first time ever with his new combine doing the combining!

“8:45am, his combine broke down. Got the combine mended and then — and this is true — for the first time in four months, it rained. So that soaked all the oats that we were supposed to be harvesting.

“I mean, if there are any farmers here, they’d tell you the same thing. Last year, it was the second worst recorded ever, and we think this year is going to be even worse because it just hasn’t rained.”

While Clarkson didn’t reveal whether he’d reached out to Cowan for help, her Instagram suggests she’s been busy working back home in Derbyshire.

Reflecting on her rise to fame, Cowan said she was headhunted for the job by land agent Charlie Ireland: “Charlie let me know they were looking for someone to come and help. I think they were keen for it to be a woman who could do that role and show they could do it well.”
