BREAKING: Sharon Osbourne recalls MEETING Ozzy at 18 — “He Looked so Strange, So Hairy!” BUT Everything Changed the Second Time we Met!

Sharon Osbourne speaks out after husband Ozzy's death

“I met Ozzy when I was 18 – it wasn’t love at first sight” – Sharon Osbourne opens up about their unlikely beginning and brutal journey to forever

In a rare and moving interview, Sharon Osbourne reflects on the unlikely start to her decades-long marriage with rock legend Ozzy Osbourne – from total shock at his appearance to building a life from rock bottom together.

“I met Ozzy when I was about 18. He came into my father’s office for management with Black Sabbath.”

Sharon admits there was absolutely no romantic spark at first.

“No, not at all. I was like, ‘Oh Lord, look at them.’ They were hairy, rough – nothing like the slick American artists I’d been working with.”

But everything changed when she saw Black Sabbath perform live.

“It was electric. I’d never seen anything like it. I was blown away.”

Though romance came later, by 1980, after working closely together, something shifted.

When asked what drew her to Ozzy and kept her by his side, Sharon smiled:

“He was so funny, so quick-witted – and vulnerable. I found that incredibly sweet and attractive.”

But their story was far from a fairytale. Ozzy was still married when they met, with two children. His wife eventually divorced him – not because of Sharon, but because of his drinking.

Meanwhile, Sharon had her own war to fight – with her own father, Don Arden.

“Everything was in my name – taxes, companies, contracts. When he didn’t pay, I got sued. I thought he trusted me. He used me.”

She recalled being hunted by tax officials, having her home seized – while her father lived freely abroad.

“Ozzy had nothing. And I had lawsuits and debt. So we started with nothing – together.”
