Vanna White has become a beloved fixture on our screens over the years, turning over letters on the “Wheel of Fortune” board night after night for more than four decades.

So, it may surprise some viewers to learn that White, 68, does not actually appear in the “Wheel of Fortune” studio every weekday.

In fact, all of the show’s roughly 200 annual episodes are filmed over a limited number of days, she revealed in a recent interview.

“We film about 34 days a year,” she said during an appearance on “Elvis Durant and the Morning Show,” causing Duran and co-host Danielle Morano to exclaim their surprise.

“That’s it. But (we film) six shows a day. Come on,” White added with a laugh. “Feel bad for me.”

Cramming all those episodes into one day does require some speedy outfit changes.

“That’s six different dresses a day,” Monaro pointed out, to which White replied, “It is!”

Co-host Nate Marino teased White good-naturedly about her work schedule, asking her if this meant that she had 331 days off per year.

“Yes, I guess so. I’ve never looked at it like that,” White answered.

“And no one deserves it more than you. You’re just the best,” Duran said.

White didn’t elaborate on whether those 34 days of filming are spaced out throughout the year, or whether they take place within a shorter timespan.

In an interview last year with Parade, White revealed that she has dress fittings every two weeks for the show.

“I probably try on 40 or 50 dresses every two weeks. So for the 8,000 dresses that I’ve worn, I’ve tried on about 100,000,” she said.

White has co-hosted “Wheel of Fortune” since 1982. She appeared on the show alongside Pat Sajak until his retirement in 2024, and the pair became known for their friendship and easy chemistry on screen.

“I think when (show creator) Merv Griffin chose both of us … he saw something between us — a brother-sister type relationship,” White told People in 2022. “And I think that is kind of what it is. He saw that we would be able to get along, and we do. We are like a brother and sister team.”

Host Ryan Seacrest replaced Sajak, 78, after he left the show.

“When they said Ryan’s going to be the next one and I said, ‘Great,’” White told E! News in September. “Because he’s so talented, he’s so professional, he’s so good at what he does. I’m so thankful.”

Seacrest has called White “super generous and sweet and kind.”

“She is an institution, an icon,” he told People in December. “She’s amazing. She’s everything you think Vanna White will be when you meet her!”

In 2023, White extended her “Wheel of Fortune” contract, meaning she will continue on the syndicated game show through the 2025-2026 season
