UNACCEPTABLE: BBC Breakfast fans OUTRAGED over Sally Nugent’s glaring Ozzy Osbourne ERROR

BBC Breakfast fans were left fuming with host Sally Nugent as she made a huge Ozzy Osbourne error live on-air just hours after the Black Sabbath rocker’s death. The BBC programme was interviewing musician Gene Simmons about Ozzy’s legacy when Sally made the slip-up, forcing Gene to correct her live on TV.

Gene praised the “Prince of Darkness” Ozzy in a moving tribute, gushing: “If you met him as a human being off-stage, you’d be shocked, because he treated people exactly the same way. No airs about him, he’s met queens and kings and all kinds of political leaders, and the person next door who you meet on the street. There never will be another Ozzy.”

But BBC star Sally asked the KISS rocker: “You were at the [Black Sabbath] concert two weeks ago…” only for Gene to interrupt and tell her: “No I wasn’t.”

Sally awkwardly replied: “Oh right, okay, but did you see the images?” as Gene said: “Yes. I saw the whole thing.”

“It’s incredible, isn’t it, to think he was on stage so recently,” Sally said.

Outraged viewers took to social media to complain about the segment, with one fuming: “And Sally says ‘You were at the concert 2 weeks ago’… ‘No I wasn’t’… why do we have to put up with this not so funny Bridget Jones?”

Another echoed: “Silly Sally – I know you were at the concert with Ozzy a couple of weeks ago… Gene – I wasn’t.”

Other viewers were simply moved by the interview, with one tweeting: “Gene Simmons on ⁦@BBCBreakfast this morning talking about Ozzy Osbourne. A quality chat, really articulate and moving.”
