Hoda Kotb Meets Up With Kathie Lee Gifford

Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford teamed up for Today with Kathie Lee and Hoda from 2008 until 2019. That was the year that Kathie Lee retired and left the morning talk show, with Jenna Bush Hager replacing Gifford alongside Hoda. In 2025, Hoda will leave the show, and Hager will eventually find a new co-host.
Five years after their last show together, Hoda and Kathie Lee had another reunion. Hoda, with her family, reunited with Kathie Lee, who was with her family at a football game. They met up at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The New York Giants took on the New Orleans Saints in the game.

Kathie Lee’s late husband, Frank Gifford, played for the Giants from 1952 until 1964, before he became an NFL announcer. He passed away in 2015. Hoda, on the other hand, is a lifelong Saints fan and worked in New Orleans early in her career.

Hoda was at the game with her oldest daughter, Haley Joy, 7. Kathie Lee’s son, Cody, 34, was also there with his child Frankie, 2.

The reunion photo received plenty of comments, including one from Savannah Guthrie, who posted, “Best. Ever!” Jenna Bush Hager commented with a series of hearts, and Today Show co-host Bobbie Thomas also added hearts of her own.

When Does Hoda Kotb Leave The Today Show?

When Hoda Kotb announced she was leaving The Today Show, Kathie Lee Gifford quickly responded, saying it was “bittersweet news.” She wrote, “Her warmth, laughter, and incredible spirit have brightened our mornings and touched countless hearts. Here’s to new adventures!”

Hoda Kotb is leaving sooner than many people might think. In a recent interview, Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda interviewed Saturday Night Live star Mickey Day. He said he didn’t know Hoda was leaving, and Jenna said her co-host was leaving on January 13.

Hoda corrected her and said it was January 10. This didn’t make Jena happy, who responded, “earlier than I thought.” When Hoda leaves, the show will change its name to Jenna & Friends, and The Today Show will bring in rotating co-hosts until they find the one perfect to match up with Jenna as the new permanent co-host.

Kotb is reportedly moving on to possible special appearances, such as Primetime interviews.
