The Golden State Warriors defeated the Bucks, 104-93, on Monday despite Stephen Curry being sidelined. Jimmy Butler took charge of the Warriors team and propelled them to win eighth in their last ten games while Warriors forward-center Kevon Looney struggled.
However, Looney’s impact was unexpected. He became the center of attention for an off-court moment that showcased his quick reflexes and awareness. Prior to tipoff, Looney was engaged in a pregame interview at Chase Center in San Francisco.
During the interview, an errant basketball suddenly flew toward an NBC Sports female reporter standing nearby. Looney swiftly redirected the ball with his hand, preventing it from striking the reporter in the head.
The incident bore a resemblance to a well-known viral clip featuring Tampa Bay Rays legend Evan Longoria. Evan was seen catching a baseball just in time to save a female reporter from a potentially dangerous hit. However, while Longoria’s moment turns out to be a staged advertisement for Gillette, Looney’s heroic act is completely genuine.

Kevon Looney had a quiet outing on Tuesday night as the State Warriors secured a win against the Bucks. The veteran forward played only six minutes and failed to register a single point. He finished with just one rebound in the game.
Now in his tenth season with the Warriors, Looney is enduring a challenging year. Across 63 games this season, he is averaging 4.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. It’s a noticeable dip compared to his previous seasons.
Looney’s journey with the Warriors began when the team selected him with the 30th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. A product of the UCLA Bruins, he has spent his entire career with Golden State and played a key role in their championship runs with his rebounding and defensive efforts
