Former NBA star Delonte West has long been rumored to have alleged sexual relations with the mother of LeBron James.

A rumor went around the NBA that Delonte West had sexual relations with Gloria James back when LeBron was in his first stint with the franchise.

It was a rumor that circulated like crazy among fans in 2010 and never went away.

“It’s affected me,” West said in 2012, per Dallas News. “Everywhere I go, first question, ‘Don’t tell me you did that.’”

“If we want to continue to grow as a human race, what are we teaching our kids if we try to make humor and fun out of stuff like that?” West continued. “Number one, something like that never happened. I don’t know where they got that from.”

It’s unclear where the rumor came from, but now we have yet another person adding to it.

Calvin Murphy, a Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer and franchise legend for the Houston Rockets, publicly addressed the rumor about Gloria James and Delonte West.

He essentially claimed it to be true based on what he described as reliable sources.

“It ain’t no rumor. Unfortunately, my sources in the NBA tell me that it’s absolutely true. My sources, and they’re legit, tell me the only people that didn’t know it was happening was LeBron [James] and me,” said Murphy, per HuffPost.

The rumor first emerged in 2010, and many thought the personal drama affected LeBron’s play when on the court.

Since West has been having mental health issues since his playing days have been over, neither LeBron nor Gloria have spoken out about him or reached out, which means the rumor is likely to continue on no matter what.
