Cade Cunningham has been one of the Detroit Pistons’ biggest strengths. Playing an impressive hand in the current season, Cunningham is currently averaging 25.4 points with 6.3 rebounds per game. The Pistons’ star also has an average of 9.4 assists per game, which establishes him as one of the NBA’s best. However, Cunningham does not seem to be really happy about everything in the NBA.

One of those involves the NBA referees. In a recent interaction, Cunningham was asked which NBA rule he wanted to change. His answer was quite surprising.

“If you challenge a call, the ref that made the call, can’t be there to review it,” said Cunningham.

Well, this was quite a hilarious call from the Pistons’ star. Recently, some controversial calls have been made in court. However, the idea that the referee who called the decision in the first place would be the one to review it seemed like quite a stretch for Cunningham. Likewise, Taylor Jenkins recently looked furious with a mistaken call from the referee.

Taylor Jenkins Might Have Sided With Cade Cunningham After Being On The Receiving End

The Memphis Grizzlies vs. The Houston Rockets’ game in late January had some late drama. Although the Grizzlies managed to secure a 120-119 victory, a botched call from the referee almost had the Grizzlies costing the game. With the game down to the final few seconds, the referee suddenly called for a timeout while the Grizzlies were on a fast break. This was a shocker as HC Taylor Jenkins did not signal for a timeout whatsoever.

Thus, it is evident that the teams have had their fair share of problems regarding refereeing. Now, it remains to be seen how things pan out in the near future.
