The 22-year-old started out by presenting her with a cake for her birthday.
She then revealed she had paid off her mom’s mortgage in full.
The Chicago Sky player said: “Today, your mortgage has been paid.
“You ain’t gotta worry about your mortgage no more.
“And if you want to still work and keep yourself busy, you can keep yourself busy.”
Shocked at the gesture, her mom became emotional and couldn’t hold back her tears.
They then embraced one another in a hug.
Reese also revealed she was planning to buy a property in Chicago.
She later added to her mom: “You can come stay with me whenever you want to.”
The heartfelt gesture came despite previous complaints from Reese about her salary in the WNBA.

Reese earned $73,439 as a rookie for the Sky, but that contract is set to more than double to $148,348 this year.
Speaking on Instagram previously, Reese said: “Hating pays my bills, baby. I just hope you know the WNBA don’t pay my bills at all. I don’t even think that pays one of my bills.
“Literally, I’m trying to think of my rent for where I stay at. I’m gonna do the math real quick. I don’t even know my salary.
“Yo, I’m living beyond my means! No, my rent is more than that. It’s $8,000. I’m living beyond my means.”
Reese’s explosive first season saw her ranked as the runner-up in the Rookie of the Year award behind Caitlin Clark, while she led the league in rebounds per game.
Ironically, Reese will begin her second WNBA season against Clark’s Indiana Fever in May.
On her rivalry with Clark, Reese had insisted: “It’s not personal. I think people just take it like we hate each other. Me and Caitlin Clark don’t hate each other. I want everybody to understand that.”
She has endorsement deals with Reebok, Beats by Dre and confectionary brand Reese’s.
Reese is also competing in the Unrivaled League, a 3v3 basketball tournament founded in 2023, which has set salary at a minimum of six figures.
