Angel Reese was as excited as everyone else after Mac McClung recorded a three-peat in the 2025 NBA All-Star Dunk contest. Reese was hyped after McClung produced four emphatic and unparalleled dunks amid his dominant win over Stephon Castle, Matas Buzelis and Andre Jackson Jr.
6-foot-2 McClung’s win had Reese express her feelings in five words on X as she wrote:
“omg Mac. 3 peat. EASY.”
McClung had the basketball world on its feet from the get-go after he jumped over a car and made a two-handed behind-the-back jam. He followed it up with a dunk over his lobber, showing his impeccable hang time and turning around mid-air to complete the slam.
McClung’s third attempt was over his lobber, who was spinning 360. Not only that, he had another assist from a man standing on a ladder with another ball. McClung finished that attempt by dunking two balls at once.
Here’s every attempt from McClung:
Angel Reese to get her layup problem fixed by Lisa Leslie
Angel Reese enters her sophomore WNBA season, hoping to expand her offensive game. As versatile and dominant as she is on defense, Reese hasn’t found her footing on offense. Though Reese averaged 13.6 points per game, the Sky star took nearly just as many attempts at 12.3 to get there.
She shot a measly 39.1% from the field despite playing under the rim. Two-time WNBA champ Lisa Leslie also took note of her struggles. During an appearance on Reese’s podcast, Leslie singled Reese out for it and said she would help her improve.
“I can’t wait to work with you some more,” Leslie told Reese (26:10 onwards). “The biggest advice I have for you is gonna be how you shoot your layups, period. We’re gonna fix that. That’s fixable for you. I think your shot from the outside is improving. Your ball handling is good, your defense is improving.”
Angel Reese has significantly improved in her game during her debut stint in the inaugural Unrivaled season. She hasn’t been afraid to shoot from long distance, showing that she has expanded her game. Throughout this offseason, the Sky star has shared videos of her workouts, in which she is working on her outside shot.
