As the clip played, the studio erupted in applause and cheers from their co-stars, including people off-screen, to celebrate their new addition, who will be born in September.

As well as opening up about experiencing morning sickness in the first 12 weeks of her pregnancy, Emily admitted to “feeling emotional” during an episode last month as she discussed the prospects of going on maternity leave.

She told viewers that she is feeling “very emotional” about leaving, and will “miss her little interactions” with co-star Tom Harwood.

“As I approach maternity leave, I am thinking more about how I will miss our little interactions every day on a daily basis. Sometimes our viewers say that I’m a bit mean to Tom sometimes.”

Emily continued: “What they don’t know is that there’s a real relationship. This is far too sentimental. Should we get on? I think I’m getting a bit emotional.”
