Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy faces serious allegations after his fiancee, Tia Jones, filed for a protective order, accusing him of repeated physical abuse. Jones claims the NFL rookie assaulted her at least five times over the past year, detailing violent incidents that allegedly included choking, slamming, and other forms of physical aggression.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ Sports, Jones says the abuse started in October 2024, when Worthy pushed her to the ground following a dispute about his mother. The violence allegedly escalated over the months, with one of the most severe incidents occurring around Christmas. She claims Xavier Worthy slammed her onto a bed and choked her during an argument over his alleged infidelity. Another incident in a closet reportedly left her with a chipped tooth after he shook her and threw her against a door.

Tia Jones describes the most violent attack happening on March 7, which led to Worthy’s arrest. She alleges that after an argument over his new dog, Worthy lost control when she called him a derogatory name. He allegedly picked her up, slammed her against walls, and choked her multiple times. Jones claims she momentarily lost vision and was left limping due to the force of the attack.

She also accuses Worthy of pinning her to the ground with his knee on her throat, making it difficult to breathe. “I felt like I was going to die,” Tia Jones stated in her filing. She says she escaped and waited in her car for the police to arrive.

Authorities arrested Worthy that day on a charge of assaulting a household member by impeding breath. However, the Williamson County District Attorney’s office declined to pursue charges following further investigation. Xavier Worthy’s legal team denied the allegations, stating he “maintains his innocence.” The Chiefs acknowledged the situation, saying they are still gathering information.
