It comes as Dan has moved out of the family’s £2M home

It has now been revealed how Jacqueline, 32, had actually wanted to reaffirm their marriage bu saying their vows again.

The soap star even revealed how she’d tried therapy in a bid to save her marriage.

In an unearthed interview from 2020, she spoke to The Sun about how therapy had helped them get their marriage back on track after Dan was accused of cheating.

The EastEnders star told us: “It felt like everybody wanted to watch me fall apart.

“I kept it in for a while, but then over lockdown it was a really good time and place for Daniel and I to go through everything — an opportunity for us to talk through it all. For me, this meant turning to therapy.

“And because of that, I couldn’t be in the same house as Dan.

“There was no big argument or bust-up, and there were no other girls.

“It was like when you wake up after a bad dream about someone — you need some space. That’s what it was like with therapy.

“Some of the stuff I was dealing with wasn’t even all about him.

“There were other things too that I needed to address.”

In the same interview Jacqueline talked about wanting to “renew” their wedding vows.

She said: “(After therapy) I felt we reconnected.

“I know lockdown was tough for so many people, but for us it was almost perfect timing.

“The thought of it cringes me out slightly, but we might do something like renew our vows when the time is right.”

THE BREAK-UP

It was revealed yesterday how Jac and Dan had split up.

As the news broke Dan headed to Bognor Regis to take part in a charity football match, while Jacqueline put on a brave face with a wholesome activity day with her loved ones.

Dan was not wearing his wedding ring as he won man of the match at his celebrity football tournament.

A friend told The Sun on Sunday yesterday: “Jacqueline and Dan are on a break and are spending time apart from each other.

“It’s not been easy for them lately and they have made this difficult decision.

“Neither of them knows what is going to happen in the future, but for now they’ve decided living apart and taking a break from each other is what they need.”
