Nick Wright was confronted by Jalen Hurts’ mother, Pamela, the night before Super Bowl 59, the polarizing Fox Sports 1 analyst revealed.

A well-known Kansas City Chiefs superfan, Nick Wright was in New Orleans for Super Bowl 59 to cheer on his team against the Philadelphia Eagles. But the Chiefs’ stunning 40-22 blowout loss was just one of two unexpected surprises for Wright during the weekend.

Speaking on FS1’s “First Things First” show, Wright explained that Pamela Hurts confronted him at a Klutch Sports party over his criticism of her son the night before Super Bowl 59 in the Caesars Superdome:

“I’m having a good time, I don’t work the next day, [having] a few drinks as most people are and a woman walks up to me and says ‘I need to ask you one question. Why do you talk so bad about Jalen Hurts?’…I was like, ‘Well I don’t think I talk bad’… and she was not budging a bit.

“She’s like, ‘No, no, you do.’ And I said , well let me tell you the good things I said about him. Once this goes on for 5, 6, 7 minutes. I had a moment of clarity and I said, ‘ma’am, can I ask you one question real quick?’ I said ‘are you Jalen Hurts’ mother?

“She said, ‘Yes I am.’ And it went on for another 15 minutes, where it was a very cordial but intense mother defending her child against someone who she thinks has been unfair to him. She ended it with this, ‘I just want to know what you’re going to say when he wins.’”

Nick Wright has indeed been critical of Hurts in the past. On an episode of “First Things First” last June, Wright memorably questioned if Philly’s star quarterback was even a top-15 player at the position.

Three months later in September, Wright also said that he was losing, “more and more faith in the quarterback” and referred to the Eagles as “overvalued.”

Of course, Wright wasn’t the only vocal critic of Hurts before and during the 2024 NFL regular season. Many questioned if he was actually a star quarterback or the product of playing in a star-studded offensive system.

Hurts put an end to the latter notion by winning Super Bowl 59 MVP. He played near-flawless football with three total touchdowns (two passing, one rushing), 221 passing yards and a game-high 72 rushing yards.

Nick Wright’s Chiefs Have Plenty To Sort Through In Offseason

Patrick Mahomes and his Kansas City Chiefs thought they had a strong offensive line and deep set of playmakers, but the Eagles exposed those as legitimate weaknesses in the Super Bowl.

Kansas City must bolster the offensive line and retool its WR room. Marquise Brown, Mecole Hardman, DeAndre Hopkins and JuJu Smith-Schuster are all free agents, and tight end Travis Kelce may end up retiring after a disappointing statistical season.

VIDEO: Some Dude Just Dropped The Cold Hard Truth On Why All Of These NFL Prospects Are “Dating White Women”

Caleb Williams at NFL Draft

Unless this is your first day in America, then you know race relations in this country dominate just everything, and that includes NBA and NFL drafts

During the most recent NFL Draft in Detroit, social media was buzzing as athletes showed up to the red carpet event with their girlfriends and family. Many of the incoming NFL rookies were African-American and were spotted with white women, which has become the usual theme for years.

The same thing happens with the NBA Draft.

This year, the discourse on the NFL Draft and NBA Draft has gotten even louder as African-American women openly pondered why so many of the players never have a partner that is the same race as them.

One guy on TikTok decided to answer that question by revealing that the vast majority of his division-1 friends in college or headed to the league are dating or married to white women and explained why.

He stated that some of them had told him that their white girlfriend looked up to Taylor Swift while their girlfriend looked up to Megan The Stallion. He then states the guy asks how many white women he has seen doing the Megan Thee Stallion challenge as opposed to Black women.

He then dove into another story of a friend who relayed that his Black girlfriend started to request money from him as soon as she found out about his NIL money. She wanted her hair and nails done. He then added that the Black women would be upset if they went to places like Chipotle, and she demanded steak houses.
