DANNY Jones’ wife Georgia has packed her bags and left their marital home following his kiss with Maura Higgins.

The 38-year-old has moved in with a pal in London as she “works out what she wants to do”, it was revealed last night.

But her decision to up sticks and leave wasn’t just born out of heartbreak, but of a desire not to be seen as the pushover she fears she is being made out to be.

I’m told Georgia – and those around her – are absolutely livid that his kiss with Maura has been so keenly swept under the carpet.

The handling of the scandal has been a PR masterstroke on behalf of Danny’s team, who locked down, refused to brief and played all the textbook moves, including that public mea culpa, to get their client back on track.

But I’m told Georgia has become convinced she is being seen as a doormat who has forgotten her husband’s very public indiscretion.

“Georgia thinks she’s been made out to look like she’s a total pushover and has forgiven Danny, which is not the case,” a friend says.

“She is absolutely livid at him still and is working out what she wants to do.

“The ball is very much in Georgia’s court and only she can decide what is going to happen in their marriage.

“All the signs were pointing to her forgiving Danny and moving on, with the pictures of them together and then Danny’s statement.

“Georgia was angry that the narrative was painting that picture when in reality, she’s not with Danny at the moment.”

Insiders tell me their respective teams have also clashed about the handling of the scandal.

“Georgia and Danny don’t share the same team and there have been some awkward moments,” a well-placed source told me.

“Both sides are trying to advise their clients about what to do for the best but the thinking hasn’t been joined up.

“Situations like this are difficult to navigate but when you have two narratives there are going to be conflicts.”

Those close to Georgia say that she walked out to take back control.

“Georgia went away with Danny when this first happened and when they came back to London, she went home to their house.

“But on Wednesday she packed her bags and said she needed space.

“Her walking out was something Georgia needed to do for herself.

“But she was making a very clear point that everything isn’t as rosy as it is being made out to be.”

The photographs of Danny, taken shortly before he posted his public statement, also didn’t go down well.

Walking in the sunshine in London with pals, Danny was seen laughing and joking around like nothing had happened.

And although he has put his hands up, apologised and swallowed all of Georgia’s wrath – looking so chippy irked not only Georgia but the people who have been supporting her.

“Georgia has been having such a tough time and there’s Danny walking down the street like he’s the cock of the walk,” a friend explains.

“It’s downright disrespectful. No one thinks he should be walking around with a sign saying ‘shame’ hung on his chest but he should have a bit more awareness.

“Taking herself out of the situation gave Georgia more time to think.

“She is talking to Danny and he is trying his best to get back on track and just move on. But it’s not going to be easy.”

Georgia, who co-hosts a popular parenting podcast, Mum’s The Word, with Kelsey Parker, is now taking a break from work while she gets herself together.

But when she gets back behind the mic, I can imagine people will have their fingers poised over the play button to hear what she’s got to say about this all.

And if I was Danny, I’d probably make myself scarce.
