The One Show presenter Alex Jones has taken to social media to issue an update, after she was left heartbroken when her kitten was hit by a car and she called on a famous friend for help

Alex Jones, renowned for hosting The One Show, has revealed she turned to a famous friend during a “heartbreaking” crisis.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the Welsh presenter provided followers with an update.

Describing her pal as “the light at the end of a pretty scary 24 hours”, Alex revealed her kitten Sabrina had been struck by a vehicle and she was forced to seek assistance from celebrity veterinarian Noel Fitzpatrick.

In an extensive message, Alex informed her supporters:.

“We think our gorgeous little kitten, Sabrina was hit by a car yesterday evening but despite breaking her pelvis, she managed to crawl back to the house to tell us that she was hurt.”, reports Wales Online.

“It was heartbreaking to see. After overnight emergency care, she is now with @profnoelfitzpatrick at his hospital where I’m certain she will receive the best care possible.”

Alex further commented: “My brilliant friend @profnoelfitzpatrick has been the light at the end of a pretty scary 24 hours” whilst taking a selfie alongside Noel.

The Ammanford-born star informed her audience that she and her household, comprising husband Charlie Thomson and youngsters Kit, Teddy and Annie, had welcomed Sabrina in March this year.

In an Instagram post, the broadcaster called the feline the “most perfect little kitty kat” and revealed her family was “obsessed”.

This follows the presenter and her clan acquiring a black Labrador puppy called Scout in 2024.

In her post, Alex announced: “We have some news.

“Over the weekend we picked up the newest member of the family and we are all sooooo in LOVE especially the children!”.

“Her name is Sabrina named by @emmafreud after Sabrina Thwaite from the Archers and we all agree that it suits her down to the ground.

“We are slowly introducing her to our other baby Scout and he’s been amazing and so gentle. Thank you Emma and Richard for the most perfect little kitty kat. We’re obsessed!”
