GB News presenters Alex Armstrong and Ellie Costello were left flabbergasted after reports claimed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s £100million Netflix deal has been “scrapped”. It has been suggested the streamer will not renew their contract when it expires in September. The on-air hosts were joined by royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, who described the deal as “D32D”. With the Netflix deal being canned, host Ellie remarked: “Netflix aren’t happy with his couple.” To which Kinsey replied: “That’s right. A source told American journalist Rob Shuter that this deal is d32d. They said she had the name, the platform and the press. But the numbers were dismal. They’re just waiting for the credits to roll.”

Kinsey continued: “They will let it expire quietly. There is no apetite for anything new. They said the interest is just not there anymore. They used to be cool and hip and buzzy. Now, they’ve become background noise.” Both Ellie and Alex sat speechless as the commentator added, “I think we’ve seen that recently. Within 2025, it felt like this chaotic release of Meghan Markle brands. New names for everything. New names for American Riveria Orchard to As Ever. From Archetypes to Confessions of a Female Founder. There’s just no choreography.”

Kinsey said: “I think people are overwhelmed and overstaturated with the Sussexes.”

The Sussexes and Netflix are believed to have mutually decided not to make an official announcement but streaming execs have quietly agreed to part ways.

It comes after Harry’s project, Polo, about the sport, was watched by just 500,000 people.

It was also understood that bosses were mildly infuriated by Meghan making her As Ever brand a priority.

With Love, Meghan

Kinsey went onto credit Meghan’s work ethic but added the same can not be said for the Duke of Sussex as the presenters discussed her projects outside of televison including her rose wine and jams.

“You’ve got to give it to her at least she’s trying,” the royal commentator explained. “Especially compared to Prince Harry. We don’t see as much ambition from him. I know certain people will slap my hands for saying that and they don’t like to admit that she’s a hustler. But she is.”

Kinsey added: “I do wish they do more charity work. I do wish they were living the life of service like they were going to. But [Meghan] stays busy.”

She went on to suggest Meghan should go back to acting as the commentator claimed Suits reruns performed better than Meghan’s show With Love and Harry’s Polo.

A source told The Sun: “The deal is done; no more shows will be made. Netflix feel they’ve got all they can from the couple.

“They’re not unhappy with how things turned out — they got those initial hits, and produced one of the most talked-about shows of all time.”

They added “there’s no animosity from either side but things have just run their course”.

It was also said it would be a blow “especially for Harry- it’s a huge loss of revenue.”

Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos is believed to remain on good terms with Meghan.

Last month it was announced Netflix had signed a deal with King Charles and Idris Elba for a documentary exploring the impact of the King’s Trust.
