Malcolm LaVergne, the former lawyer and current estate executor of the late O.J. Simpson, responded to the murder joke made on ‘SNL 50’ made by John Mulaney.

Celebrating their 50th anniversary, ‘Saturday Night Live’ held its ‘SNL 50’ special event on Sunday. The star-studded show featured an opening monologue from the legendary Steve Martin with Mulaney and Martin Short also appearing.

During the segment, Mulaney said, “Over the course of 50 years, 894 people have hosted ‘Saturday Night Live’, and it amazes me that only two of them have committed murder.”

Mulaney was referencing O.J. Simpson and deceased actor Robert Blake. “The Juice” was controversially acquitted of the 1994 murders of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ronald Goldman. Blake was arrested for the 2001 murder of his second-wife, Bonny Lee Bakley. He was acquitted of the murders but, like Simpson, was found liable in a civil trial.

LaVergne gave his comments on the murder joke to TMZ Sports:

“The Juice’s longtime attorney and current executor of his estate, Malcolm LaVergne, tells TMZ … Steve Martin’s monologue with John Mulaney was great, and John’s joke about accused murderers hosting the show was very funny…

John was referencing O.J. and Robert Blake, but Malcolm says don’t forget about Alec Baldwin, who was charged with involuntary manslaughter — as opposed to murder charges for Simpson and Blake.”

LaVergne also said that if O.J. Simpson were alive to hear the joke, he would have felt “indifferent.” The former NFL running back and “Naked Gun” actor died last April after a battle with cancer.

O.J. Simpson Left Behind A Complicated Legacy

Simpson was among the biggest celebrities in America during his playing career and post-playing days. Fans loved his humor and charismatic personality that showed up on commercials, blockbuster movies and TV shows.

But Simpson’s legacy will always be complicated, no matter how you look at it. There was overwhelming evidence against him in the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, but his ‘dream team’ got him off the hook.

12 years after his acquittal, Simpson committed armed robbery at a Las Vegas hotel with a group of men and spent just under nine years of a 33-year sentence in prison.

Social media might be down incredibly bad as Lucia from Grand Theft Auto is going insanely viral.

As anticipation builds for the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, a picture shows Lucia stripped down to a two-piece bikini.

Here is how fans reacted to Lucia’s apparent new look in Grand Theft Auto:

“Everything is woke if you’ve never seen a woman’s body irl,” one fan said.

“They better have some awesome clothing to choose from. Gotta look cute while doing missions,” a second fan added.

A third fan knew they were no match for her: “If I was in a beauty contest against her, she’d get first place, and I’d get disqualified.”

“She’s beautiful, my sapphic heart can’t take it 🤧,” another X user added.

“not leaving my house anytime soon,” a fan stated about the impending release of the game.

“No arsenal, but ima be a gooner for sure, a sixth fan added.

One final fan added: “Anybody upset about a video game character needs to seriously reevaluate their life.”
